I have to say this is the first time a KAF recipe has let us down. The pastry turned out great. The filling came together properly but it was too bitter. And I'm saying that after my husband confused the chocolates and used half semi sweet and half unsweetened in the filling. I can only imagine what the filling would have been like if it had all unsweetened chocolate in it. The glaze was too thin even after sitting as recommended. I wasn't looking for over the top sweet but I expected sweeter than this. This was just not good. How disappointing after hours of work. Perhaps a note on the recipe for future cooks that this recipe is on the bitter side of sweet. We didn't bother to assemble them as we knew we wouldn't eat them. Maybe we'll try a new filling tomorrow.
