Hi Anne, when we talk about ounces here, we are referring to the weight measurement rather than fluid ounces. This confuses a lot of folks, but whenever we refer to ounces, we're always talking weight. In this case, a cup of whole wheat flour weighs 4 ounces, so 2 cups would weigh 8 ounces.
