This tip was given o me by the owner of our kitchen supply store in the town of Franklin, NC.
Take 1/2 cup of ap flour, 1/2 cup of shortening, and 1/2 cup of vegetable oil (it must be vegetable oil). Put the ingredients into a food processor, blender, or a hand mixer, and processor until smooth. Use a pastry brush to apply this mixture to your pan. Save what remains in a jar with a lid and put it with your other supplies, it will keep this way for about a month. I then follow the instructions as to how long to cool the pans before removing the cake from the pan. It works every time, and yes before I do this, I go around the pan with a knife just to make sure it will come out. I have noticed that when I remove the pan from the oven that the sides are already away from the pan. The name of the store is The Kitchen Sink
