We're sorry to hear that our technique didn't work with that particular pan and recipe, Pat, but we're thankful that another technique did work for you so you still got a cake! Some recipes truly behave differently than others. Often recipes with more sugar can be a little more stubborn in the pan. Tube pans are fantastic for the very reason of being able to line the bottom with parchment. Annabelle@KAF
