Juliana, I too am an AZ transplant from MA! Ignore the universe and stay here for the pleasant winters. I have old aluminum bundt pans so tried the melted shortening with sugar technique. It was so much better than the butter/flour routine! I had to loosen the sides a bit with a spatula and gave the pan a few shakes to dislodge it but it looked great. Thanks Baker's Hotline!
