I have an old angel food cake pan that does not have a removable bottom. All of the recipes say with a removable bottom. I have never had a cake not come out of my one piece pan. For awhile I avoided recipes that said removable. My husband made me a wooden funnel with a round base to use to turn the angel and chiffon cakes upside down. I tried not turning one upside down and it was awful, a huge mess. Why do all of the recipes say removable bottoms?
