If we're being honest, silicone isn't our favorite for baking, as it doesn't encourage as much browning since there is very little heat conducted. Cakes tend to be the best sort of recipe to bake in silicone, however, since they don't require a crust. Be wary that the edges of the cake may be baked through before the center is done; you'll likely need to add 10-15 minutes of additional baking time to your cake to ensure it has finished all the way through, but start checking for doneness at the time the recipe suggests.
