I have a recipe for coffee cake (all coffee flavored cake, no chocolate and not a traditional coffee cake that’s cinnamon and crumb topping) that calls for instant coffee. I want to use espresso powder cause many recipes say it gives a better coffee flavor. I have seen differing opinions on which is stronger. If the recipe calls for 4 tsp of instant coffee granules, how much espresso powder would you suggest? The recipe says to use “less” powder, I would think you’d need more. Thanks for any help you can give.
