Hi Annie, we're sorry to hear you had trouble with this recipe. If you live in Denver, your altitude was likely the cause of the wet, sticky dough. We typically recommend adding a few additional tablespoons of flour when baking at elevation, as listed in this High-Altitude Baking Guide. You'll also notice from the photos that this dough is relatively wet and sticky, but it comes together after shaping. It's also important to note that if you're using another kind of flour aside from King Arthur All-Purpose, you might need to use more of it to achieve the same results.
