I've been using butter flavored Crisco in my chocolate chip cookies for some 40 plus years without the extra water it calls for when replacing the butter. They have been a hit with family and friends, and is requested often. My daughter now makes them just as good as I do. People ask for the recipe and she tells them the recipe is on the back of the chocolate chips without telling them to use Crisco instead of butter. She thinks it's "our" secret. lol My sister-in-law even went as far as to ask me what I use exactly to the point as to large eggs or extra large eggs, name brand stuff, etc.
