Hey Stephanie! In this case, with minimal excess crust around the edges, a simple egg wash brushed around the edge is all you need to keep the top pieces attached to the bottom. When you have a larger piece on the bottom and are using longer pieces for your lattice you can do a traditional crimp around the edge as shown in our Pie Guide. Happy baking!
