My mom (who would have turned 100 on 11-21-17) made this. It was printed in a recipe booklet put out by Spry, a rival brand of Crisco. I've been using this for 60+ years. It will keep in the refrigerator without freezing for several months (who goes that long without making a pie). Long ago the freezers were only large enough for a couple of ice trays.
