The first batch of christmas cake that I did this year looked darker then what I am making now. Does the flour type make the color difference or just the amount of time I cook it? Cook them depending on size about 3hrs each. 2 on a cookie sheet at a time or should I just cook them on top of rake in the oven? Temp set at 350
