Just a comment regarding any extra pie dough....if you have extra dough but not enough for another pie crust, my mother-in-law would roll out the extra into a rectangle and spread room temperature butter on it and then sprinkle the surface with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. She would roll the crust up like a jelly roll and cut it into slices and bake them in a toaster oven at about 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. My kids loved them...like tiny cinnamon buns but not as soft.
