I always mixed my pie crust by hand & last year I was tired & thought, what the heck I'll try the mixed if it doesn't work I'll throw it out & start over. Welllllll I don't think I'll ever do it by hand again! So quick & same excellent crust. By the way, I use all lard, I render my own lard. I get 10 pounds ground pork fat from the butcher, cook all night on low in 5 or 7 quart crockpot, & in the morning it is ready to put in wide mouth pint jars & store in freezer. Love KA hints & instructional blog.
