This method can work when making large quantities of pie dough, Dot, if that's what your asking. The maximum amount depends on the size of your mixing bowl. Be sure to start on low speed and work carefully to prevent the dry ingredients from getting pushed up and out of the bowl. Good luck! Kye@KAF
