I live on the Georgia coast. I prefer Braeburn, but I have found them only in the mountains of North Georgia. There is an apple festival in the Georgia mountains each year, and my daughter goes early to buy as many Braeburn apples as possible for her coastal family. They are scarce even there, and the season is short. Apparently they don’t last long, and have been replaced by those which ship better and have a longer season in Georgia. Based on that, my guess is that more northerly locations, colder ones, and higher elevations might be better places to find them. Great out of hand, too, in my opinion.
