Jonathans are our favorites since we moved to Illinois 50 years ago. My son grew up with them and thinks they are the only apple that tastes like an apple. We've eaten them out of hand as well as in pies, cobblers, and cakes. Alas, they are very hard to find now, even here in the Midwest!
