I agree on the Gravenstein apples. My great grandmother had many apple orchards on her ranch, Gravenstein's were her choice and mine.
When I bought my home 20 years ago, a Gravenstein apple tree was the first thing I planted. I have enjoyed the apples every year. My property also had a golden delicious tree on it I mix both varieties for pie too. Yum thank you for all your ideas and recipes.
