Hi Debbie, growning up in Michigan Jonathans were the family favorite, and we picked a bushel or two every fall to last through the winter. My mom wrapped them in newspaper to protect them from freezing out on the back porch or in the garden shed. I still love Jonathans, and conjuring up the earthy/apple aroma of that shed still brings great comfort. Thanks for sharing your apple memories with us, and inspiring some of our own memories as well!
