My new favorite apple for cooking, pies, and fresh eating is Cameo. I find them in South Carolina and
Georgia. My best pies always have three or four different varieties in them, and I always try to include Cameo and at least one Granny Smith. The Cameos keep in the refrigerator a long time, too.
