Interesting, but in my area, the only apple you tested that I can reliably get is Granny Smith. I try to mix Granny Smith with my favorite eating apple, Gala. When I was a kid in the midwest, my fave for everything was Jonathans--and I can't get them, here, in CO. In fact, I searched on the web and, apparently, they're not that common in the midwest, anymore.
