Oh how I miss New England. I was originally from Mass. now on Florida. The apple I would always prefer is Cortland. The more tart the better, even for eating. When I could get them, I would combine Cortland, Jonathan and Empire. Can’t seem to find them here......when I do find Jonathan it is believed to have been held in their warehouse to long.
