I make my apple pie with 3 kinds of apples. Gala for sweetness, Granny Smith for a little tartness, AND Golden Delicious!!! At Apple Crest Orchards in Exeter, NH, they have a chart listing best eating, baking, pie, or salad apples and Golden Delicioua made all the check marks. When I asked about GDs they said that was the only apple Table Talk Pies use. Growing up, I always bought the little Table Talk pies because they were always delicious! People love my pie. I also make a good fake apple pie with a huge zucchini, delicious!
