Jonathan is my all-time favorite for apple pies, apple crisp and even applesauce. The flavor is tart but distinctly apple. The girls at work used varying different kinds of apples, but they always insisted my pies and crisps were the best flavor. Still they continued to use their favorites rather than switch. Why? Because everybody’s taste is different, and sometimes memories and nostalgia are the guides.
