I'm with you Jain, on many fronts. I've got a sweet tooth of my own, plus my mother's! :) I prefer a fudgy brownie over a slice of cake any day. While these two desserts share many of the same ingredients, the ratios give them their unique taste and texture. Cake recipes usually call for about twice the amount of flour and quite a bit less cocoa powder. Brownie recipes also include much less leavener (baking powder and baking soda) or none at all, whereas cake recipes rely on these ingredient to help them rise.
