Hi Jim! Peanut oil will provide a bit of an improvement for sure, but also make sure that the oil is hot enough, as that can sometimes lead to an oily taste once they cool. One trick we use to check the oil's temperature (aside from a thermometer) is to lower in a dough scrap. If it doesn't sizzle and float right away, than your oil is too cold. We hope that helps.
