That's a great question, Grace. We haven't tried that approach before, but it's certainly worth trying. When trying to make a DIY version of cake flour, we recommend adding a tablespoon of cornstarch to the bottom of a measuring cup and filling it up the rest of the way with all-purpose flour. Start with a similar approach using bread flour and cornstarch, and substitute that mixture in for a cup of all-purpose flour for a recipe. See how it goes! We hope you'll share your results with us.
