Hi Steve, you could reduce the weight of each ingredient in half to make a smaller loaf, but because this loaf is already fairly dense, it's going to be quite a small loaf. My recommendation would be to make the full recipe and freeze half a loaf after baking. This bread, like most breads, freezes wonderfully, and you'll be glad you have more rye bread stashed in your freezer to enjoy later!
