Frank, I haven't tried adding rye chops to this recipe, so I would recommend starting with a small amount and perhaps sprinkling some on top of the loaf instead of caraway seeds. I would suggest replacing one ounce of the old bread soaker with rye chops and soaking the chops for an hour before adding them to the mix. Be sure to drain off any extra water before adding the chops. In future you could add the chops to the old bread soaker and let them soak overnight. Please let me know how your bread turns out! Barb
