Judith, thanks so much for sharing your experiences with rye bread growing up in Montreal! I love hearing these stories and picturing the mothers and grandmothers making their own versions of Jewish Rye. For me, it's like filling in the colors in a black and white photo; thanks for making this a more vivid post!
