Hi Merwa, you should be able to use another kind of nut flour in this recipe in place of the almond flour if you like. The flavor will change based on the nut flour you choose; toasted nut flour is especially flavorful. This recipe doesn't need an egg to help bind the dough, but you're more than welcome to experiment by adding one if you like. The texture will be a bit more cakey than it otherwise would be.
