I am in shock as to how much of a difference the 1 Teaspoon of Vinegar made to this batch of cookies! I also used the variation 1/3cup of cookie dough so that I got a bake sale sized chocolate chip cookie. This is the best recipe that I have tried for Chocolate Chip cookies ever....including the "Neiman Marcus" one.
My question is what exactly does the vinegar do? And if I wanted to experiment, would I add the same amount to a recipe as the baking soda? What if the recipe only uses baking powder? Have you tried this with cakes? Thanks
