Pan de polvo is a tradition for lower tip of texas. I thought my cookies were the best until I tasted another batch and they melted in my mouth! Of course, she would not give me the recipe! All the recipes I have researched use crisco...I'm wondering if she substituted lard for crisco or confectioners sugar for granulated sugar? Any suggestions?
