We're surprised to hear some of your favorite cookie recipes call for oil, Karen, as that ingredient isn't typically used in cookie dough. Instead, we often see vegetable shortening called for in chewy/bendy cookies. (There are some exceptions, of course, like our Vegan Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies, which are made with olive oil as a base.) If you're looking to experiment with the texture of your cookies, try replacing half of the butter with vegetable shortening next time to see if you like the results. You can also try adding 2 tablespoons of corn syrup in place of 1/4 cup of the sugar in your recipe. This makes the cookies bendy and chewy in the best of ways! Kye@KAF
