Kathleen, I actually developed a cakey chocolate chip cookie recipe, but it's not QUITE there yet. I expect to finish it soon. In the meantime, here's the formula I've been working on. Want to give it a try and let us know what you (and your husband) think? - PJH 8 tablespoons butter, room temp. 2/3 cup brown sugar 2 large eggs 1/4 cup milk 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 1/2 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour 2 cups chocolate chips Beat the butter and sugar until smooth, then mix in the eggs and milk, then the remaining ingredients. Scoop by the tablespoonful onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 400°F for 8 minutes.
