When using active dry yeast, it's best to proof or soften before starting the recipe. Use 1/2 cup water from the recipe, the active dry yeast and a pinch of sugar. In 10 minutes, you'll be good to go (or continue the mix and bake!). Happy baking! Irene@KAF
