Thank you thank you! What a difference an inch makes! I've been baking bread for years and had no idea why some bread recipes nicely topped the pan and others just never seemed to rise enough. I guess I should've paid more attention to the pan size specified in the recipe. I now adjust all recipes or make sure I'm using the right pan size.
