I've always had great success with plain ADY; I like that I can actually see it proof. I am having difficulty find this yeast now, so I bought the SAF instant. I'm uncomfortable adding the SAF instant to the dry ingredients because if the yeast is not viable, all the ingredients I used are lost. Can I proof the SAF instant in the warm liquid (like I do with the plain ADY) then continue on with the recipe?
