I'm so happy to find this post! Due to COVID-19, yeast is now impossible to find in the grocery stores.
I was able to find 1 lb. bags of SAF Red and Gold at a local restaurant supply, but didn't buy it because I saw that it was instant and almost all the recipes I need it for call for ADY. After reading this, I went back to the restaurant supply and bought the SAF Red.
My question is: is the measurement for SAF Red the same as it would be for ADY? So, if a recipe calls for a packet of ADY, would I measure 2.25 tsp of SAF Red?
