I found a springerle pin in my mother-in-law's things after she passed. I'm thinking it was a gift to her from her Swedish sister-in-law, and therefore, believe it came from either Sweden or Norway. I don't recall that my mother-in-law used it and I've never used it -- I had no idea the value of it! I love butter-based cookies and think I may try using it this year!
