My recipe, handed down and in my mom's handwriting has cookies being left out at room temp overnight and put on a paper napkin to dry and it is underlined, paper napkin, not a paper towel. I always have to make sure I have some on hand and I dare not change the recipe! I bake them in the morning after removing the paper napkins of course.
