Now I think the way you're doing cookie decorating here I might enjoy creating more and DEFINITELY enjoy eating more (at least the gluten free ones). All my life it seems whenever I would break down against my better judgement and purchase one, the last multiple decades ago, or as a child asking for one I always regretted doing so because not once did it turn out to be edible. It always resulted in rock hard, tasteless royal icing on a stale flavorless cookie. For a long time I've put off decorating cookies using the outline and flooding method of royal icing after what was required in the classes because I've been so worried these would be about as pleasant I was exposed to throughout my life. I would be mortified if people felt the same way after TRYING to consume a cookie I baked and decorated. I'm not worried about the baking part. I am a pretty darn great cookie baker in all modesty, its the final result of that royal icing bit that scares me. However the cookies and techniques shown here by King Arthur Flour appear to be a bit different. I'm hoping I'll be very pleased with the results of when I give it a try.
