It can be a tricky balance, Brenda. Regardless of the type of glaze/icing used, you'll want it to be about the consistency of thick syrup or cold molasses. It sounds like it may be worth it--even if just to eliminate the frustration of trying the same thing over and over--to give the Simple Cookie Glaze a try this time around.
