Hi Sharon, it sounds like you might want to check out the article on our blog called how to get pie crust to brown on the bottom. The tips that are highlighted will work for custard pies, fruit pies, pecan pies, etc. Try placing the pie further down in the oven (closer to the heating element) and baking in a metal pie pan, if possible.
