My first time making fruit cake so thanks for the recipe and blog! I haven't tasted them yet (made a batch of three loaves) as they're all going to different Xmas parties but I feel like I let them cool too long before wrapping them in plastic wrap. Is there any way to determine if they're too dry without cutting into them? Would adding more "glaze" help make sure they're not dried out or would it be too late and I'll just have to deal with it? (I let them cool for about five hours.)
