Hi Aaamee! The most common reason bread doesn't rise much is if it doesn't have enough liquid. This is quite common because flour packs itself down when measured by volume so it winds up soaking up more moisture and the dough becomes dry and dense. We recommend measuring your ingredients by weight to avoid that problem completely, or, to at least make it a bit more accurate, measure flour using the fluff, sprinkling, scrape method.
