mmm, I was skeptical of using the Cake Pan Cake recipe due to it not having an egg in it... I followed the recipe exactly, removing 114g and 113g from water and flour, and put in 227g of starter, and it did not rise like it should have, no crown. It turned into more of a Chocolate Brownie than anything else. VERY disappointed! This is the first recipe in probably 40+years that has not turned out for me! I posted here years ago, my "War Chocolate Cake" that I got from my grandmother. It has always done well, and tasted great. One egg, one cup of suger, 1 square of chocolate, etc.
