Hi Kathy, while either method works with many drop cookies (like chocolate chip and sugar cookies), we tend to prefer cookies that have been frozen as dough and then baked just a bit more than frozen baked cookies. The cookies taste just a bit fresher when they're baked before giving (or enjoying). Keep in mind: both methods work, so if you're not able to freeze the unbaked dough, don't stress! Kye@KAF
