Well, I know it's not the yeast, as I never use anything but SAF Red instant, and I used my KA mixer to knead the dough, so it wasn't a Zo issue. Your idea about kneading in the add-ins in the machine and then taking it out for its first rise was exactly where I was heading next. Thanks, Barb!
